“My journey to a healthy lifestyle began many years ago. I worked with a couple of naturopathic doctors and holistic nutritionists. I learned some things from them but always went back to some bad habits. Eventually, I started exercising, but it was not sufficient to change the way I was feeling, which is more important than just looking good. I finally made an appointment with Nicole and here I am. I have learned with Nicole that my body speaks to me. What I eat can impact my health for days and weeks after the intake. I learned that cravings are related to deficiencies in our body and our energy level is impacted by what we eat. I also learned that combinations of ingredients and foods make a difference. Did you know that beans can be considered carbs or proteins depending on what you mix them with? Ask Nicole! My health has improved more than I expected since Nicole became my nutritionist. I sleep better (no BiPap for me), concentrate better, have more energy, and naturally, had lost weight. The best part is that I am not doing this alone, I have Nicole to walk with me through this journey. I  have my family joining me and making their own changes too. “I remember the first time I saw Nicole’s professional profile. I was immediately impressed with her education and certifications.  On paper, she appeared to be one of the most qualified health coaches I have ever come across. However, Nicole is not just impressive on paper – she absolutely shines as a coach.

I am not new to weight loss. In 1998 I began a journey to lose 100 lbs.  I was successful, yet still struggled with gaining and then dropping the same 10-15 lbs for the past 20 years.  My relationship with food and exercise was not healthy. I binged and purged with food and exercise – it was monopolizing my time and energy and hurting the relationships that meant the most to me. I was not eating because I was hungry – I was eating when I was bored, tired, happy, sad, and stressed. I was also experiencing some health concerns that were placing additional stress upon me, both physically and mentally. At 45, I was ready to do the work, and I knew Nicole had the skill and ability to help me succeed.

Nicole and I initially worked together on finding a macro goal that allowed me to participate and thrive in the high-intensity sports that I loved, while not feeling deprived or hungry.  But I continued to have blowout weekends. I was consistent Monday to Thursday, then over-consumed Friday to Sunday. Nicole asked me to take a step back and really begin to dig deep and discover why I was continuing to lack consistency in maintaining a proper balance of exercise and nutrition. Here is where Nicole truly excels as a coach. I was not in place mentally where I could lose weight. We need to step back and do the hard work to determine my “why”. Why was I overeating? Why did I feel that a three-hour bike ride was short? Why was I consumed with food and exercise? 

Together we worked through all of these questions, and more!  Sure, many of us have successfully lost weight – but how many of us have been successful in keeping the weight off, and finding happiness within? Nicole focused on helping me to reduce stress and anxiety related to food and exercise, as well as prioritize myself and not compare my journey to another person’s.  She also taught me the importance of self-love. Nicole and I will continue to focus on my physical, emotional, and mental health, and with her I have a true partner, cheerleader, and confidant on my journey to wellness.”

“After several years of disordered eating and body dysmorphia, I came to Nicole. My hormones were imbalanced and I had experienced amenorrhea for several years. I already had to go through fertility treatment with my first children and thought I would never be able to conceive naturally. Nicole sat down with me and helped me come up with a plan that would help me reach my goals in a HEALTHY way. We met weekly and evaluated things and tweaked what we needed to each week, figuring out what worked for me. What stood out the most is how deeply she cared for me. “Throughout college, I was a competitive equestrian but could never get a handle on my weight…hearing the generic “just eat less” or “run more” from coaches and trainers daily. It wasn’t until I started working with Nicole that I actually began receiving guidance that worked for me and MY body. The individualized program that she gives each client is not a diet. Even on the days when it feels too hard or negative self-talk sets in, she is always there cheering you on and giving the needed push to keep going. “I began working out with Nicole after being treated for recurring breast cancer. As a woman who has been active all of my life, I didn't expect her to teach me anything new, I was only looking for a little 'support' as I regained my strength and routine after surgeries and chemotherapy. I intended to utilize her for about 3 months. It is almost three years later and Nicole is still training me! I love her style of fitness. She incorporates strength training with cardio in every workout and I am never bored with the routine. (We have NEVER repeated any workout in the time I have known her!) She is an excellent trainer- she knows how to push me and she also knows when I should back off. I have never felt stronger and my overall health is great! My work life is extremely busy but the convenience of Nicole coming to my home has allowed me to continue to maintain my routine of working out regularly. She's a gem!”
